Our Fine Silver Overlay jewelry is crafted using a high-quality brass base coated with an advanced acid gold electro-depositing process, applying 20-30 microns of 99.9% fine silver. This technique produces a durable and long-lasting finish, far superior to basic decorative silver-plated costume jewelry, which typically features 5-7 times less silver.
Acid gold plating, originally developed for the electronics industry, offers excellent wear resistance and makes for a great alternative to fine jewelry.
